"The fair, held four times a year in the Alexander Centre, has been running for many years and is widely regarded as one of the best-attended and best-stocked book sales in Kent.

Colin M Jarman, who lives and works in Kent, has published more than 30 books in the UK and USA, including official biographies about comic book legends Roy Race and Judge Dredd. He will be at the fair to sign books, chat about his work and offer advice and encouragement to other writers.

Fair organiser John Collins said: “I am delighted he will be with us. Not only will his Doctor Who book prove popular with our visitors, but Colin will also be on hand to sign his other fun-packed titles, which include James Bond, Roy of the Rovers, Fred Astaire and the Ryder Cup. The Quotable Doctor Who, described as “The Tardis of quotations books” is a fully comprehensive collection of 2,000 themed quotations about the world’s longest-running sci-fi television show, and the time-travelling Time Lord himself. The compendium covers all 11 TV incarnations of the Doctor since the first – William Hartnell – in 1963 to the most recent, Matt Smith. Also mentioned are occasional Doctors Peter Cushing and William Hurndall. The book includes comments and quotes about all the Doctor’s regular companions.
